Tofield Boys win Ryley School Junior High Basketball Tournament Jan. 16-17
Last Friday and Saturday, the Ryley School hosted its Junior High Volleyball Tournament with junior high boys’ and girls’ teams from Ryley, Tofield, St. Jerome’s and Vegreville Composite competing. Saturday morning, local schools Tofield and Ryley squared off. Ryley Rebel girls beat Tofield 47-17; and Tofield Titan Boys beat Ryley 48-32. Tofield won first place at the tournament, going undefeated in all three games, playing Ryley 48-32, St. Jerome’s 39-32, and Vegreville 41-26. Ryley boys got second place and beat St. Jerome’s 39-32 and Vegreville 44-39. In the girls’ draw, St. Jerome’s won the girls’ side with Ryley taking second, Vegreville third and Tofield fourth. Ryley girls beat Tofield 45-17 and also Vegreville 33-30. Tofield Titan boys, the A Final Champions, included: Coaches Marcel Flasha and Brooke Huebert; players Lincoln Miskew (7), Jeremy Koloski (13), Samuel Didusenko (8), Carlos Enorme (6), Tanner Kastendieck (5), Ty Yoder (14), Mason Conney (10), Joel Tiedemann (9), Cameron Schoff (4), Dustin Huebert (22), Shaye Yoder (11), Tyler Reid (20), William Kristensen (15), Quinn Malin (12), and Carter Schoff (23).
