Taylor LeClaire Star Skater at Tofield Ice Carnival – “Back to the 80s”

Tofield’s own Taylor LeClaire strikes a dramatic pose while performing at the Tofield Figure Skating Club’s year-end carnival, “Back to the 80s,” Sunday afternoon at the Tofield Arena.

Taylor has competed three times the past three years at the Canadian Tire National Skating Championships, including 2015’s competition in January in Kingston, Ont. where she placed 16th in her last year at the Junior level.

She had suffered a torn MCL and LCL during training in September which set back her training as she took time off for rehabilitation; but she still managed to secure a national spot in singles competition in January.

In her fifth year skating with the Ice Palace Figure Skating Club, Taylor has decided to forego pairs competition, in which she won a Bronze at Nationals in 2013, and focus on her singles career.
