Sr. Tofield Boys play hard at basketball Provincials – first time since 1972 for local team

The Tofield Titans Senior Boys’ Basketball team headed off last Thursday to Provincials in Drumheller after winning the Zone championship just the previous weekend.

The team was given a rousing send-off by staff and students at Tofield School.

The excitement was increased by the fact this team managed to win a provincial spot for the first time since 1972. In 1972, the Tofield team won Provincials and returned to compete again the following year. That didn’t happen again until 2015 when this team broke new ground yet again.
