Incinerator hearing concludes – decision now in hands of development appeal board within 15 days
It was the opponents of the bio-medical waste incinerator’s turn at an appeal hearing held May 7.
G-M Pearson’s application to put an incinerator into an industrial park was refused by Beaver County. G-M filed an appeal with a hearing held April 23, and then May 7.
After the first sitting of the appeal hearing, it was learned that the incinerator run by G-M Pearson in Wainwright was shut down by its own board for exceeding emission standards of toxic chemicals.
