EMS Pancake Breakfast raises awareness of emergency services

Beaver EMS held its EMS Week Open House and Pancake Breakfast at the Tofield Ambulance Station last Saturday.

People were able to come out and meet the EMTs and Paramedics who serve the community as well as witness demonstrations of their new equipment.

Wes Baerg, Executive Director of Beaver EMS as well as a paramedic, said the annual event helps the public understand their function in the community.

“It’s in support of work that paramedics and EMTs do in our community in caring for the sick and injured,” said Baerg, who explained the name has actually been changed to Paramedic Services Week.
