Junior Roller Derby World Cup great experience for Tofield girl
Tofield teenager Fallaine Matula recently returned as part of Team Canada in the Junior Roller Derby World Cup in Kent, WA, and reports the experience was well worth the gruelling competition that left her muscles sore even two weeks later.
“I got a bunch of bruises for sure,” she said. “I’ve been winded a few times but luckily no broken bones so far.”
Fallaine, 17, played five games during the July 8-9 event. Day 1 determined the rankings for the teams from Canada, Argentina, Team USA East and Team USA West to play the following day.
