Present spray park flawed, to be torn down in favour of brand new pirate, nautical themed water feature
With it partially shut down mostly due to poor underground construction and piping issues, the Town of Tofield is abandoning its present spray park in favour of a brand new design which should be completed in September and opened to the public in May of 2016.
Difficulties with the old spray park began nearly from day one, says Tofield Assistant CAO Jeff Edwards. It got to the point where part of the apparatus wasn’t able to be used, and fixing it would be nearly as costly as replacement.
Edwards said a reputable company called Park N Play, which has built the last two playgrounds in Tofield, has been contracted to construct the new water park which will take on a pirate and nautical theme.
The old spray park will be removed on Aug. 17, and installation of the new structure will begin early September… for more see the Aug. 5/15 issue of the Tofield Mercury
