Bounty in the County to be cancelled for 2016
Beaver County has cancelled the 2016 “Experience the Bounty in Beaver County” event citing a lack of expected participation by towns and villages and failure to draw the target audience.
The Oct. 21 meeting of County Council addressed a recommendation by administration not to hold the event next year, despite holding it for seven years prior to this.
“Each year, the event has been successful and attendance has been good; however, we believe we are not reaching the target audience of local rural businesses,” stated the report to council. “Attractions associated with the Bounty are primarily located within the towns and villages in the region.”
