Ryley history book Beaver Tales 2 launched

The official launch of the “Beaver Tales 2” history book about Ryley and district took place Saturday afternoon at the Ryley Community Centre. The hall was full of people eagerly anticipating their chance to pick up pre-ordered books or purchase one of the 500 that had been printed. After the official ceremony, lines formed immediately at the tables set up for that purpose.

Committee Chairperson Janet Winsnes welcomed everyone. “It’s an exciting day for us,” she said, thanking each member of the committee for their help in making the book possible.

“It is here and we think it’s wonderful,” she said, explaining that Wes Magneson had volunteered his time to auction off the first and second editions. The first off the press boxed edition designed as a keepsake…
