Grand opening for new Ryley village office
The grand opening of the new Ryley administration building on the village’s main street was a well attended event.
Everyone was able to take a tour of the new building with all its amenities, including council chambers, offices and kitchen areas.
Ryley officials said they hoped this would mark a new era of positivity as the council works towards taking steps to better the village for its inhabitants.
The move into a new building stemmed from a need raised when the village’s quarters in the old Alberta Treasury Branch building were deemed unfit, said Ryley Mayor Lavonne Svenson. Having worked out of that building since 1989, the village office was moved temporarily into a house on 53 Avenue.
