Cpl. Powell RCMP report: deactivated military explosive device found on repossessed property

On January 21, 2016 RCMP received a call in regards to a possible explosive device located in Beaver County. 

A residence had been repossessed by the bank and on clean up, a military 155 Howitzer propellant explosives container was located at the residence. The area was cordoned off until the military units were able to attend to examine the container… for more see the Jan. 26/16 Mercury

On January 18, 2016 RCMP received a call from a Holden resident who was reporting a mischief to the truck stopped at his residence.  The resident found two windows had been broken with rocks. RCMP are still investigating.

  On January 18, 2016 RCMP received a call of a shoplifting at Silver Spur Spa in Tofield. A female entered the Spa, stole products and departed the Spa.

The female was confronted by the store owner but the suspect fled before police arrived on scene. The female is described as having long bleached blonde hair, approximately 5’4″ to 5’8,” slender with a black faded tattoo on her face near her temple.
