Tofield Figure Skating Club presents “Skating Thru the Seasons”

The Tofield Skating Club held its annual ice carnival with the theme “Skating Thru the Seasons,” featuring winter, spring, summer and fall ice dances.

The stands were full at the Tofield Arena Sunday afternoon as Parker Larin sang “O Canada,” and flagbearers Samantha Daigle and Skylar Helman skated around the ice. Saluting in her red serge uniform at the ceremonies was Cst. Kimberley Christensen of the Tofield RCMP.

Skating numbers included several solos and groups, to songs like “Singing in the Rain,” “Ice, Ice, Baby,” “April Showers” and “Soak Up the Sun,” all depicting different seasons of the year.

Guest skaters were Mikala Cutler and Jordan Topolnyski from Sherwood Park Skating Club, and Emily Paul from Camrose Skating Club.
