County reacts favourably to sustainability projects presented by committee
A committee dedicating itself to creating projects within Beaver County that will foster local sustainability on several fronts was well received by Beaver County Council March 23.
Called “Stabilizing Our Future,” the delegation asked for council’s support after the presentation and appeared to get a warm endorsement.
Reeve Kevin Smook said that “Beaver County absolutely wants to embark on an ambitious sustainability plan” that would entail the next 10 to 30 years. The committee’s projects “may well align with this,” he said, calling the presentation “very timely.”
