Tofield graduation filled with laughter
The room was filled with laughter and memories for the Tofield School’s 2016 graduating class Friday afternoon as family and friends joined in celebrating another milestone in their lives.
This year’s 42 graduating students filled the stage at The House auditorium.
Grads Shaylynn Nickel on piano and Alexander Litwin on guitar played O Canada before Master of Ceremonies Marcel Flasha introduced the guests attending, including Battle River School Board trustee Rebecca Heiberg, Battle River School Division Assistant Superintendent Brett Hukulak, Town of Tofield Councillor Cathy Brown and Beaver County Reeve Kevin Smook.
The Valedictorian’s Address was given by Shaylynn Nickel who said that, although the time has gone quickly for them, the grads should look forward to all they could accomplish in the future.
