Victim Services golf tournament a chance to connect and build relationships with the community and RCMP

Golf-Photohole Those attending the Victim Services Ron Robinson Memorial Golf Tournament June 7 were rewarded with beautiful weather – which hasn’t always been the case.

The sun shone down on 72 golfers making up 18 teams on a nine-hole Tofield Golf Course.

“We’re really pleased,” said organizer Ken Stumph, noting that in previous years, “we’ve been here through sleet, snow, you name it.”

That’s because the tournament’s theme is, “rain or shine…it goes!”

This year, there was the early worry that a lack of moisture would mean playing on a barren course.

“A few weeks ago it was a desert around here, it was depressing. Now it’s just gorgeous,” said Stumph… for more see the June 14/16 Mercury.
