Crowds fill streets to enjoy 14th Annual Heritage Classic
The Tofield Lions Club outdid themselves once again, this time for their 14th Annual Heritage Classic Show n’ Shine, held every year on Monday of the Heritage Day long weekend.
“It was an awesome car show,” said Lions past-president Darryl Romaniuk, who was an organizer along with announcing for the afternoon show, held from 12 noon until 3 p.m. Aug. 1.
About 135 cars and other vehicles were registered for the event, which Romaniuk said was down about 40 from last year. Rain in the morning, which affected the entire region, may have hampered some from coming to show their vehicles. But the rain stopped and the afternoon turned out beautifully for the over 200 people

His final oral exam was July 20, and he is now officially done his course to become a better director.
The ICD is a cross Canada organization that provides training and networking opportunities for directors. Their mantra of ‘better your skills, better your board’ encompasses what Conquest hoped to achieve through this training.

Dr. Abuzehar recruited to join Tofield practice at end of month
A new doctor is coming to Tofield within the month, Cyndy Heslin, Chair of the Tofield and Area Health Foundation, announced on Tuesday, Aug. 2.
Heslin said that Dr. Abuzehar has signed a contract with the Tofield Medical Clinic.
Dr. Abuzehar came to Tofield on Thursday, July 28 and met with Dr. Hackett to discuss the Tofield Medical Clinic and to meet members of the health foundation for lunch.
