BMS to host two open houses

Those wishing to hear more about the Beaver Municipal Solution’s intention to incorporate as a business will get the opportunity to get more information during two BMS Open Houses scheduled at the Ryley Landfill.

The first open house will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 18 followed

steering-deb-dueckTofield Town Council’s meeting took place on Tuesday, Oct. 11. Council met with Beaver Municipal Solutions (BMS) team consisting of its manager Pierre Breau, Aaron Hills and Anne Ruzicka.

Tofield Mayor Harold Conquest later explained it was a “courtesy call” by BMS, which made a presentation concerning its landfill approval renewal process.

tofieldawards-groupshotThe Tofield School 2016 Awards Night showcased the achievements of 66 students for the previous 2015-2016 school year. The evening event was held Thursday, Oct. 6 at the Tofield Community Church with family and friends there to cheer on their favourite award recipient.

Winning this year’s Governor General’s Award was Shaylynn Nickel, who accepted the honour from Tofield School Principal Dr. Tony Rice.

The celebrations included Jake Telawsky and Sydney Storvold acting as Masters of Ceremonies.
