Ryley wants train whistles stopped
Train whistles blaring through town at three stops may fade into the past if the Village of Ryley council gets its way.
During the Sept. 19 regular council meeting, Ryley council agreed to hire an engineering firm for about $23,000 to complete an assessment outlining any more measures the village would need to take to stop trains from blowing their whistles at three locations.
The report is required to get CN’s support to stop the whistles at those locations.
