Celebrating 15 years, Niko’s Dance Studio holds its year-end show

It was a packed Tofield arena this Saturday afternoon, May 26 as Niko’s Dance Studio held their year-end festival with solos starting off the event, followed by group numbers.

From hip-hop and jazz to tap, contemporary, lyrical and Ukrainian numbers, the dancers put on quite the show, cheered on by an appreciative audience.

Coordinating and ensuring that the afternoon and evening went seamlessly was the principal instructor and owner, Niki Hofer, and her mom Ellie Marusiak, along with their team of students, instructors, parents, and volunteers.

“It takes nine months of training, and dedication from dancers and parents to pull off something on this scale,” Hofer said. “This evening’s performance is a reflection of how many hours of work, and how much effort it has taken all of us to get to where we are.” According to Hofer, her greatest moment is when she sees her dancers achieve their goals.
