Holden male charged with assault

During the past week, Tofield RCMP responded to 42 calls for service. Included in the calls for service were two motor vehicle collisions and four false alarms.

On June 12, the CN police reported one of the vehicles contracted out by them was broken into in Tofield. Several tools were stolen from the vehicle. The RCMP are checking for video surveillance in the area and are still investigating. On June 13, Tofield RCMP received a call of an abandoned trailer off of Hwy. 855 in Beaver County. RCMP attended and found the trailer had been reported stolen out of Lloydminster, Alberta. The trailer was towed and the owner was notified of its recovery.

On June 15, Tofield RCMP received a call of an assault in Holden. There was a dispute between family members which escalated to one person being tackled to the ground and the assailant then stomped on the victim.
