Tofield RCMP and Fire Department tend to two incidents
During the last week Tofield RCMP responded to 56 calls for service. Included in the calls for service were five false alarms, three 911 calls, and a motor vehicle collision.
On June 18, a resident of Holden received a call from Canada Revenue Agency advising they owed a substantial amount of money for taxes. The suspect caller became upset when the recipient of the call requested to be spoken to in French and subsequently hung up.
On June 21, Tofield Fire Department and RCMP responded to a fire at the Tofield landfill site. The fire appeared to have been a campfire, which went out of control. A suspect was observed in the area who was known to the caller.
