Beaver County male charged, to attend court

During the past week Tofield RCMP responded to 55 calls for service.

Included in the calls for service were four traffic collisions, three false alarms, and a 911 hangup.

On July 30, Tofield RCMP received a call of a gas and dash from the Lindbrook store. The caller reported the suspect attended the gas station, fuelled the vehicle, and fled without paying. There is video surveillance of the incident and RCMP are still investigating.

On July 31, Capital District Integrated traffic unit was on patrol on Highway 14 and conducted a traffic stop on a Ford F350 truck. The driver of the vehicle was found to be driving while suspended. The driver a 37-year-old male from Leduc County was charged with driving while unauthorized and with several other provincial traffic violations. The driver is scheduled to attend court in Vegreville on Sept. 24 at 10 a.m.
