On Monday afternoon, July 6 as people enjoyed their long weekend, Tofield wore a festive look with more than 200 vintage cars adorning both sides of Main Street.

“This was our 16th year and it was awesome . . . we couldn’t have asked for a better day – hot and sunny,” said former Tofield Lions President and main organizer, Darryl Romaniuk.

Whether it was $10,000 vintage or $80,000, the display on Main Street of 200 and more cars drew crowds from far and near. MOUSH JOHN PHOTO

Planning for the event started way back in December, according to Romaniuk, with advertising, sponsors for different trophies as well as plaques, besides all the organizing.

“However, it’s because of the volunteers and amazing team work that we can pull off an event like this,” Romaniuk added.

The Lions Club set up a barbecue stand making sure that guests and visitors weren’t hungry. All proceeds from the event are put back into the community. MOUSH JOHN PHOTO

There were 181 registered entries with more than 200 cars at the show.
