Stolen items recovered in Holden

During the past week Tofield RCMP responded to 57 calls for service. Included in the calls for service were three motor vehicle collisions and two 911 hangups.

On Sept. 5, Tofield RCMP received a call from a business owner in Tofield in regards to threats and a mischief. The caller reported a few days prior a male came up to him screaming and threatening him. The caller attempted to leave but the male continued to come after him and caused damage to his vehicle. The suspect was contacted and turned himself in to the RCMP detachment. The suspect, a 49-year-old male from Tofield was charged with uttering threats and mischief. He was released from custody on a Promise to Appear to attend Vegreville Provincial Court.

On Sept. 6, the Tofield RCMP were called to a motor vehicle collision on Hwy. 14 at Hwy. 630. The collision occurred when a Ford F150 crossed the centre line and struck an oncoming semi. The RCMP attended and found the driver of the pickup truck was in possession of stolen property including another person’s identification. The female was found to have warrants for her arrest as well, however due to her injuries, she was taken to hospital for treatment. The female was released from custody on a Promise to Appear to attend Vegreville Provincial Court on Nov. 5 at 10 a.m.

On Sept. 6, a resident of Beaver County reported a Burgundy F150 with a flat-deck trailer had pulled up to the caller’s gate. The vehicle then departed the area. RCMP attended but were unable to locate the vehicle.
