“The economy,” is what Brandon Lunty believes to be the key concern for the constituents of Camrose.

“We need to create more investment in the riding,” says Lunty, which is one of the reasons why he commenced his campaign in becoming a United Conservative Party nomination contestant for the new provincial riding of Camrose, which includes Flagstaff County. “People are concerned when businesses don’t invest money or when they struggle. It affects everyone.

Brandon Lunty held a barbecue on Saturday, Sept. 15 in Forestburg, commencing his campaign in becoming a United Conservative Party nomination candidate for Camrose. The barbecue was an opportunity to connect with the community. Lunty says it is important to chat and hear what’s on people’s minds.

“People are worried about that and they just want to see a stronger investment climate. I think that’s the number one concern,” says Lunty, adding that the cost of living is also a concern. “A lot of that is because with the carbon tax they are concerned that they are going to have to pay more to pretty much do everything, and it’s something that people are worried about in the riding.”

Lunty was born and raised in the community of Forestburg. . . .
