During the past week Tofield RCMP responded to 25 calls for service.

On Sept. 18, the Tofield RCMP responded to a complaint of a missing hunter in the Blackfoot Provincial Recreation Area. With the assistance of RCMP air services, Police Dog Services and members from surrounding detachments the male was located unharmed and in good health and returned to Edmonton.

On Sept. 20, Tofield RCMP were called to a residence in Ryley by the bylaw officer in regards to some suspicious activity. Upon arriving at the residence Tofield members found a stolen car hauler trailer with a vehicle on it. The trailer and vehicle were seized and towed and will be returned to the owner.

On Sept. 20, a resident of Tofield called in to report they had been contacted by the CRA advising they owed money for taxes. Residents are reminded this is a scam and CRA does not contact persons via phone except in exceptional circumstances.

On Sept. 20, Tofield RCMP received a call of a theft of a truck from a residence. The caller reported that someone took a truck from their rural residence.

On Sept. 22, Tofield RCMP were on patrol in Tofield and conducted a vehicle stop on a Pontiac Grand Am. The driver of the vehicle was unable to produce valid insurance for the vehicle. The driver, a 18-year-old female from Lloydminster, was charged with operating a motor vehicle without valid insurance. She was served with a summons to attend Vegreville Provincial Court on Nov. 26 at 10 a.m. The vehicle was towed. . . .
