Sunshine Villa residents enjoy Cuban Lunch
The residents of Sunshine Villa were in for a treat on Friday, Oct. 12.
Gathered in the dining room for a Cuban Lunch Coffee Time, they had coffee and listened to the entrepreneurial tale of the revival of the Cuban Lunch chocolate bar.
According to Julie Ishida, activity coordinator at the Villa, Crystal Regehr-Westergard, a physiotherapist in Camrose, and her husband, Bert Westergard, maintenance department head and administration assistant for the Villa, narrated how they were looking for a Cuban Lunch candy bar for Crystal’s mother, Elfie Regehr.
“The Cuban Lunch is her mother’s favourite candy,” Ishida said. “Crystal’s father would bring Elfie Cuban Lunches rather than flowers during their courtship . . . contd.
