Tofield male charged for uninsured and unregistered vehicle
During the last week the Tofield RCMP responded to 46 calls for service. Included in the calls for service were three motor vehicle collisions, a 911 hangup and a false alarm.
On Oct. 12, Tofield RCMP were called to Holden. The initial report was of an assault and uttering threats. RCMP attended and located all parties involved. After speaking with all parties it was determined that no offence had occurred however one of the people involved had an outstanding pay or stay warrant for their arrest. The person was arrested and was released from custody after paying the fine amount owed.
On Oct. 12, a resident of Ryley called to report a theft of a trailer. The caller advised unknown persons broke into their locked compound and stole a 16’ Precision flatdeck trailer.
On Oct. 12, the Tofield RCMP were on patrol in Tofield and conducted a traffic stop on a Dodge Ram. On checking the vehicle and licence plate, the licence plate was associated to a White Chev and not the Dodge Ram. The driver of the vehicle attempted to leave the scene however was stopped by police. The driver, a 21-year-old male from Tofield, was char-ged with having an uninsured motor vehicle on a highway, operate an unregistered vehicle on a highway, and display unauthorized licence plate on a vehicle.
