Local thefts keep RCMP busy

During the last week Tofield RCMP responded to 37 calls for service. Included in the calls for service were two 911 hangups and five motor vehicle collisions.

On Oct. 23, Tofield RCMP received a call of a theft from Tofield. The caller advised his vehicle was parked at a business in Tofield overnight and his wallet was stolen from the vehicle. The caller was advised to cancel all of her credit and bank cards and to check statements to see if they had been used.

On Oct. 23, a duffle bag and contents were located at a business in Tofield. The owner of the backpack was identified and all items returned to him.

On Oct. 23, Tofield RCMP received a call of a theft from a business in Beaver County. The caller advised sometime over-night suspect(s) entered the business and stole several batteries. . . . contd.
