Tofield RCMP seeks hit-and-run assistance

During the past week Tofield RCMP responded to 40 calls for service. Included in the calls for service were five traffic complaints, and eight motor vehicle collisions.

On Nov. 12, Tofield RCMP were called to a residence in Beaver County to conduct a welfare check on a residence in regards to a Mental Health Act complaint. The residents were all located at home and there was no threat to anyone’s safety.

On Nov. 12, Tofield RCMP were called by a third party to a rural road where a vehicle had rolled into the ditch. RCMP contacted the RO at home and had the vehicle towed. RCMP remind the community that it is an offence to fail to report a motor vehicle collision involving property damage.

On Nov. 12, Tofield RCMP were called to a residence in Tofield where a male reported to have been assaulted by a family member. RCMP arrived and arrested one female for two counts of Failing to Comply with a Recognizance as she was breaching her conditions not to consume alcohol. The female was held for a hearing and remanded into custody to await her upcoming court date.

On Nov. 13, at 1:45 a.m., Tofield RCMP were called to a residence in Tofield where a Hit and Run collision had occurred outside of a residence. . . . contd.
