Bantams seem to have a new spark: Coach Codd
Even though the Bantams didn’t perform too well in the weekend tournament held from Friday to Sunday, Nov. 24–26, Bantam Coach Wayne Codd is hopeful.
The Bantam lost their first game against Sherwood Park on Friday, 4-2; seemed to have an edge over Hinton, but lost to them on Saturday, 3-2; and finally CR Knights beat the home team in a 3 on 3 OT period 6-5.
“Even though we lost all the games in our home tournament, it looks like the team has a new spark starting,” said Coach Codd. “The team is starting to gel, and these were our best games so far this season; it’s exciting to watch them grow as a team.”
According to Codd, the team is still having fun but working hard, and he hopes that the kids continue with their drive for the season with the final goal of gaining the W’s at playoff time. . . . contd.
