Kevin Smook of Tofield wins the Alberta Party candidacy for Camrose Riding

He will represent Alberta Party at spring Provincial Election

Tofield’s own Kevin Smook, businessman, community volunteer, and Beaver County Councillor, was unofficially selected as the Alberta Party candidate for the Camrose Riding at a special members only nomination meeting in Camrose on Saturday.

The nomination is NOW OFFICIAL because the Alberta Party needed to confirm and approve the results, and have not released the numbers other than the winner and that over 200 party members attended the meeting for the purpose of voting.

“It was great to see a turnout of over 60% of eligible voting members at the CRE in Camrose on Saturday,” said Smook. “What makes this even more impressive, is the fact people made the decision to come out and vote despite the challenging weather of the day. And it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces during the speeches and throughout the voting period.”
