Tofield resident’s stolen ID used in BC
During the past week Tofield RCMP responded to 48 calls for service. Included in the calls for service were ten motor vehicle collisions, two false alarms and two 911 hangups.
On Feb. 4, Tofield RCMP were called to a disturbance in Holden. The caller advised the suspect was striking her vehicle with his own vehicle. RCMP attended but the suspect had fled prior to police arrival. When checking the scene, it was found the victim’s vehicle had been pushed from the front of the driveway to the rear. The suspect was located and arrested a few days afterwards and held for a JIT hearing. The suspect, a 36-year-old male from Holden was charged with Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, Mischief x2 and Failing to Comply with a recognizance x3. He was released from custody on a cash recognizance to attend Vegreville Provincial Court on Feb. 25 at 10 a.m.
On Feb. 6, a resident of Holden called in to report his vehicle was damaged. The side window of his vehicle had been shattered.
On Feb. 7, Tofield RCMP were conducting curfew checks on charged persons. On checking a residence in Tofield, a male was found to be breaching his conditions by not being in his residence when required. Charges are pending on a 34-year-old male from Tofield for Failing to Comply with a recognizance.
On Feb. 8, a resident of Tofield attended the RCMP detachment to report his wallet and contents went missing back in 2017. . . contd.
