Alberta Party’s Kevin Smook has been touring the riding
Alberta Party Camrose candidate Kevin Smook has been touring the riding extensively, engaging with residents from the area and participating in community events.
On Thursday, March 7, Smook fielded questions at a candidate’s forum at Rose Haven in Camrose hosted by the Bethany Group.
“Among the topics included were seniors’ wellness, housing and supports, challenges in hospital placements and education and labour force development in geriatric care,” Smook said.
On Friday, March 8, Smook was at the Killam Library where they celebrated their 80th anniversary.
“There were several residents along with Board Chair Brenda McDermott and Library Manager Barb Cox who I had the opportunity to meet,” Smook added.
On Monday, March 11, Flagstaff County council and staff played host to the R.H. Hume Bonspiel’s 58th annual. The event, named after former Camrose Mayor R. H. Hume, includes teams made up of elected officials and staff from neighbouring counties.
Hume founded the event in the 60s, inviting all surrounding municipalities of Camrose, and it is still being held, with hosts rotating each year. Last year it was held in Stettler. . . . contd.
