Traffic violation and speeding tickets keep Tofield RCMP busy

During the past week, Tofield RCMP responded to 27 calls for service, which included one motor vehicle collision with a deer.

On March 26, Tofield RCMP were dispatched to a report of a missing person somewhere west of Tofield on Hwy. 14. The male passenger exited the vehicle after a verbal argument and was attempting to walk home to Saskatchewan in the dark. The male was later located at the Tim Horton’s in Camrose safe and sound.

On March 26, there was a complaint of shots fired in the area of Rge. Rd. 201 near Crown Land. Members attended and located several spent shot gun shells.

On March 28, a complaint was received of a fraudulent phone call from a person claiming to be from Visa. The caller stated there was suspicious activity on their credit card and to give them access to their bank account. The complainant hung up on the caller and did not provide any information. Tofield RCMP are reminding residents to not provide any personal information over the phone to anyone that you do not know. . . . contd.
