Nothing is more important than getting our economy back on track, says Lovely
It’s just been a week after the election win, yet nothing seems to have slowed down for UCP candidate Jackie Lovely of Camrose riding that entrusted her with their constituency with a sweeping majority.
“This was one of the most significant elections in Alberta’s history,” said Lovely. “Hard fought but a resounding mandate for positive change. I’m very grateful to my team that supported me in this campaign, and thankful to the voters that put their faith in our plan.”
According to Lovely, what the Albertans saw in this election was pretty much ground-breaking.
“A 71 per cent voter turnout – the highest since the Great Depression; a record breaking advance voting with almost 700,000 ballots cast; and 55 per cent of the popular vote and over a million ballots cast for the United Conservatives – the highest total for a single party in Alberta history and more than the 2015 Wildrose and PC votes combined,” Lovely noted. “Ultimately, Albertans voted for a government committed to delivering on three critical priorities – job creation, a strong economy, and standing up for our province. Under Premier Jason Kenney’s leadership, Alberta is open for business.” . . . contd.
