Tofield male arrested on scene and charged with assault

During the last week Tofield RCMP responded to 45 calls for service. Included in the calls for service were five motor vehicle collisions and one false alarm.

On June 25, an enclosed utility trailer was stolen from a residence in Ryley. It was reported by a neighbour as the homeowner was away on holidays. The investigation is ongoing.

On June 25, in the town of Tofield, a Break and Enter in progress was reported. The homeowner was home at the time and thinks the audible alarm scared the intruder off. There were video cameras but they were not working at the time of the occurrence. The member on scene assisted to get them up and running properly.

On June 26 in Ryley, unknown person(s) ran a truck though an electric fence on a rural property to gain access to the yard. Once there, they rummaged through a barn but nothing of value was stored or taken from there.

On June 27 in Ryley, it was reported that the locks had been tampered with at the local church. No entry was gained, reported to police for information purposes. . . . contd.
