Grande Prairie male arrested in Tofield trailer park

During the past week Tofield RCMP responded to 59 calls for service.

On July 8, a resident of Tofield reported a fraud and theft. The caller reported their bank account had been compromised and unknown persons were able to electronically transfer money out of their account.

On July 8, a member was on patrol on Hwy. 626 and attempted to stop a Silver Dodge Ram. The Dodge Ram fled at a high rate of speed with the member following. The Dodge Ram drove through a flock of ducks which were on the road causing damage to the truck and eventually disabling it. Two occupants in the vehicle were arrested. The Dodge Ram had a stolen licence plate attached, was unregistered, and uninsured. Hundred grams of cannabis was located inside with several phones, scales, and baggies. Numerous break-in tools were located as well as stolen property. The suspects were charged with numerous offences, were lodged in cells for a Judicial Interim Release hearing. A 42-year-old female was charged with Possession of stolen property x3, Possession of break-in tools, flight from police, possession for the purposes of trafficking cannabis as well as several provincial offences. She was released on $2,000 no cash recognizance to attend Vegreville Provincial Court on July 27. A 35-year-old male was charged with Possession of stolen property x3, Possession of break-in tools, Breach of recognizance x2, and Possession for the purposes of trafficking cannabis. He was remanded in custody to attend Vegreville Provincial Court on July 15.

On July 9, a resident of Ryley reported driving by the Cold Beer and Liquor Store and seeing a tow rope attached to the door. . . . contd.
