Ryley liquor store broken into

During the last week, Tofield/Viking detachment responded to a total of 55 calls for service, of which 15 were traffic collisions or other related traffic complaints.

On July 29, Members were dispatched to a youth in distress, possibly suicidal. The teen was located unharmed and transported to the Stollery Children’s Hospital for follow up. No charges were laid.

At around 11 p.m. on July 29, members received a request to assist with a possible overdose in Beaver County. The male was suspected to have attempted suicide by overdosing on heroin. The male was transported to Tofield Hospital without incident.

On July 31, Viking RCMP received a complaint of stolen cables from a rural property on Highway 36. This happened sometime overnight from Friday. The investigation is ongoing.

On the afternoon of July 31, Tofield RCMP were dispatched to a suicidal female in Beaver County and EMS were requesting assistance. Members attended and located a female with a laceration to her wrist. No one else was in the residence at the time. The female was stabilized and transported by EMS to hospital for treatment. . . . contd.
