The Holden Historical Society Museum held an end of season celebration on Sunday with live music and vintage item auction.

The museum has been open from May 25 to Sept. 15 with this year’s theme “Nature and Wildlife.”

A beautiful display on the theme was set up in the jail at the museum. Museum Society President Dave Maruszeczka said another fun idea for this year included using the old carousel slide projector from the late 1970s to show older wildlife photos obtained courtesy of the Alberta Government.

“We were showing kids how to use the carousel,” he said, during school tours held last spring.

Technology having changed quite a bit since then, the students needed to be shown how to operate the machine during a tutoring exercise as part of the tour.
