“We are so grateful for all the support we have received this year,” said Julie Ishida, main organizer and activities coordinator at the Villa. “We used to have a Spring Social with a raffle until 2016 but then in 2017 the Residents’ Association tried to do something different and came up with this.”

Resident Association President Brian Kingston welcomes and thanks the crowd.

Ishida confirmed that this year they had more than 150 attendees, which has been a record turnout in the three years they have hosted the event.

“Along with serving pie and coffee, there was a Silent Auction, and in keeping with the pie theme, the Silent Auction bidders registered with a name of a kind of pie . . . this made the bidding more private and fun,” Ishida explained. “The Silent Auction Registration has a list of many different kinds of pie that participants could select to use for their bids.” . . . contd.
