Tofield RCMP identify suspects in BMO damage

During the past week Tofield RCMP responded to 42 calls for service. Included in the calls for service were two false alarms.

On Sept. 30, the Tofield RCMP were called to an abandoned quad south of Ryley in Beaver County. RCMP attended and located the quad, which was found to have been stolen out of Ryley. The quad was recovered and has since been returned to the owner.

On Sept. 30, the Tofield Bank of Montreal called to report some damage in the foyer. The drywall had been damaged and what appeared to be spit was in the lobby. Video surveillance has been provided and suspects have been identified.

On Sept. 30, the Tofield RCMP were contacted in regards to an arson. The caller reported locating a fire in an abandoned residence. The fire was extinguished, however there was considerable damage to the residence prior to it being put out.

On Oct. 2, Tofield RCMP attended a rural residence for an investigation. No one was at the property, however RCMP located a stolen F350 at the location. The vehicle had been damaged and several parts had been removed from the vehicle. The vehicle was seized and the owner notified. Tofield RCMP were notified of a stolen Kubota side by side, which had been registered by a resident of Beaver County. RCMP initiated an investigation and contacted the person who had registered the Kubota. The male was very cooperative with police and assisted in getting the vehicle back to its rightful owner.
