Former Bantam Titan makes it to the 2020 Alberta Winter Games roster

After leaving her mark on the Tofield ice, Eva Cross has moved on to a bigger stage – Sherwood Park Kings Athletic Club (SPKAC) Royals Bantam Elite Female hockey team, and she will be representing Zone 7 as part of the 2020 Alberta Winter Games hosted in Airdrie from Feb. 14-17.

Speaking about her experience with the sport, and all the milestones along the way, Cross said it’s been a great run for her so far.

“Hockey has been good,” Cross said. “I am having a great season so far; my team has been really strong and we are looking forward to a successful season, hopefully.”

Cross left the Tofield Titans this year to play for the SPKAC Royals Bantam Elite Female hockey team.

“I had to try out for the Elite Royals with everything I had,” Cross admitted. “It was a long tryout process with a lot of players trying out, but they only kept 17 skaters and two goalies.”

She said that it would be a pleasure to represent Alberta Zone 7, along with other female athletes. . . . contd.
