Ryley theft associated with Camrose break-and-enter

During the past week Tofield RCMP responded to 47 calls for service. Included in the calls for service were four motor vehicle collisions, a 911 hangup and a false alarm.

On Dec. 4, a resident of Ryley reported an attempted theft of a vehicle from his residence. The caller advised when he checked his vehicle in the morning, the ignition had been damaged. Nothing appeared to be missing from the vehicle.

On Dec. 4, a resident of Ryley reported his white GMC Silverado was stolen from his residence in Ryley. The same vehicle is believed to have been involved in a business break-and-enter in Camrose. The vehicle has not yet been located.

On Dec. 5, Tofield RCMP received a call of a possible impaired driver on Hwy. 14. The vehicle was reported to have been swerving badly almost colliding with oncoming vehicles. RCMP members attended and located the vehicle. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was showing signs of impairment however passed an alcohol roadside screening device. . . . contd.
