Tofield Atom Hudson Lungal scores six in under 20 minutes of play

These are some of the results from the Northern Alberta Interlock Minor Hockey League games held recently.

Tofield Tier 3 Atoms (10-0-0) had two big wins before Christmas to keep their unbeaten record intact. On Dec. 21, Tofield travelled to Wetaskiwin and came away with a 7-5 win. Tofield had a 6-2 lead late in the third but things unravelled and the home team scored three in just over a minute to get to 6-5, before Declan Girard finished off the win with 18 seconds remaining. Both Declan (3g 1a) and Hudson Lungal (3g 1a) had hat-tricks and four-point games. Jeffrey Mason (2a) and Cale Helfrich (1g) also got on the scoresheet. On Dec. 22, Tofield skated to an 8-2 home win over Lamont despite allowing the game’s first goal. After that Hudson Lungal scored six goals within the next 20 minutes of play. Hudson scored 7 in total in an 8-point game. Other scorers for Tofield were; Merek Fritz (1g 2a). Logan Suchy, Cale Helfrich, Bentley Carson, and Will Potratz got assists. Lane Dehid got the win in goal.

Tofield Tier 6 Atoms (3-2-0) won a 10-2 game at Leduc on Dec. 21. Karter Waldo had a 4-goal game with an assist. Other scorers were; Jonas Teefy (2g 1a), Colton Munson (2g), Gabriel Thorson (1g 1a), and Hunter Madro (1g). David Cardinal got the win in goal for Tofield. . . . contd.
