Tofield School Pancake Breakfast brings community together

On Thursday, Dec. 19, Tofield School staff and students enjoyed a pancake breakfast, which was hosted at the Tofield Legion.

All the grades had breakfast throughout the morning in 30-minute time slots to accommodate everyone.

“The location was suggested by Vanita Eglauer,” said Principal Janice Muench. “It made sense to host the event at the Legion because the facility had the space and supplies needed to pull off a breakfast for over 450 people.”

Battle River School Division (BRSD) trustee Zsuzsanna Hemperger, left, also attended the event, and enjoyed the breakfast alongside students and staff of Tofield School.

Muench added the staff at the school had been working on finding ways to get the community and the school to collaborate for the common good of the town of Tofield.

“Tofield School had been reaching out in different ways,” commented Muench. “Leadership classes and other teachers . . . contd.
