Tofield Bantams still looking to score some wins

It has been a tough season for the Tofield Bantams so far as they’re looking to score a win yet, but Head Coach Wayne Codd is optimistic, especially as Tofield hosts the Bantam tournament this weekend.

“So far our Bantams are struggling to get a few wins under the belt in the mid-season,” said Codd. “We’re currently in the last place of our division in the tier, but the good news is most games have ended with one-goal difference or a tie, even with the division leaders, so we are not out of the race yet!” According to Codd, There’s no team that the Bantams can’t compete with, and “they are playing good hockey.”

“We have continued to get better every week as the team grows,” he said. “They are all a great bunch of teens with a ton of heart, and if the boys can dig down deep and battle this slump, the season could turn more in our favour.” . . . contd.
