Tofield Tier 6 Atoms beat Bruderheim 7-2

These are some of the results from the Northern Alberta Interlock Minor Hockey League games held recently.

Tofield Tier 3 Atoms (10-1-0) lost their first game of the season 3-2 against Fox Creek at Tofield Arena on Saturday. Tofield tied the game for the second time with only 11 seconds into the third frame, but Fox Creek scored late to secure the win. Will Potratz (1g 1a), and Declan Girard scored for Tofield. The team was scheduled to play at Fort Saskatchewan on Sunday but no score was posted.

Tofield Tier 6 Atoms’ (4-2-1) Karter Waldo scored on the powerplay with two seconds remaining in the game to tie Leduc 3-3 on the road on Sunday. Tofield scored early in the third period to take the lead but Leduc struck twice to regain the lead before Waldo’s heroics. Karter scored two goals in the game (2g 1a), while David Cardinal added the other goal. Corbin Goodthorpe picked up an assist. Austin Schmick played between the pipes for Tofield. On Saturday Tofield hosted Bruderheim and skated to a 7-2 victory. Braydon Crawford had his shutout bid ruined with only 8:25 remaining. Colton Munson had a five-point game (1g 4a). Carson Kroeker and Jonas Teefy scored two goals each, and Gavin Lutz (1g 1a) and Logan Kropp also scored. Steven Cardinal picked up an assist.

Tofield Tier 4 Peewees (8-2-2) travelled to Calahoo Arena and proceeded to shutout CR 5-0. . . . contd.
