Tofield RCMP responded to a total of 25 calls for service in the last week.

On the night of Feb. 3, unknown persons attempted to steal fuel from the Ryley Petro Can Bulk fuel station. The locks on the tanks had been tampered with but access was not gained. The vehicle appears to be a white Ford quad cab truck with blue stripes on the hood, pulling an aluminum trailer. There is blue ground effect lighting when the doors are open.

Sometime during the nighttime of Feb. 2, a vehicle was sideswiped on 53 Ave. in Tofield. The vehicle was parked on the street in front of the owner’s residence. The Tofield RCMP were dispatched to a possible suicidal male in the town of Tofield. The male had been texting family members that he was going to hang himself then stopped answering texts and phone calls. Members were able to locate the residence and were unable to make contact with the male in question. Upon forcefully entering the house, the male was located unharmed.

A break-and-enter to an abandoned farm property located on Twp. Rd. 481 and Rge. Rd. 160 was reported on Feb. 3 to Tofield RCMP. A sea can was entered as well as several other buildings on the property. A slip tank with a pump was taken as well as several tools. This file is still under investigation.

Tofield RCMP received a report of damage to the Ryley Swimming Pool on Feb. 5. The power meter on the building had been broken off and left on the ground. This happened between Jan. 31 and Feb 2. Surveillance in the area was inconclusive. . . . contd.
