Tofield RCMP seeks assistance with crash at the north end of town

Tofield RCMP responded to a total of 35 calls for service in the past week including eight traffic complaints and two Motor Vehicle Collisions (MVC).

Sometime during the night of Feb. 15 a break-and-enter occurred at Ryalta Industries in Ryley. Suspects used a truck to ram the building and gain access where they were able to steal items from inside. RCMP continue to investigate.

During the early morning hours of Feb. 18, Tofield RCMP received calls from a male expressing that he was going to kill himself. The male was located trying to evade police and EMS on foot in -35 degree Celsius temperature while poorly dressed for the elements. The male was arrested under the Mental Health Act and taken to hospital for assessment.

On the evening of Feb. 18, Tofield RCMP received several calls for service from the family of a male who was constantly calling and uttering threats towards them. . . . contd.
